Botanical Inventories
Strong botanical expertise supports successful open space grant applications, in-depth wetland assessments (as needed), as well as accurate delineation of wetland boundaries. Comprehensive knowledge of southern New England plants facilitates use of the US Army Corps of Engineers methodology. We are familiar with the recent Corps changes in plot data collection, for boundary verification.
Sigrun Gadwa holds a scientific collector’s permit for handling state listed wood turtles, eastern box turtles, and mussels, and also conducts rare plant searches.
The manpower available though our collaborative enables us to do complex natural resource assessment work, including specialties such as rare moths and warblers, as well as timely completion of large wetland delineation jobs. We can provide sub-meter GPS data as an alternative to conventional surveying.
